As a published photographer with accreditation from the media, Andru is passionate about capturing key moments through his lens. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Andru has worked with a variety of local and international artists, organizations, corporations, and government bodies.
His primary focus is concert and live event photography, but he studies city, landscape, and personal photography.
In addition to his skills as a photographer, he also has experience producing, shooting, filming, and editing videos.
By collaborating with his subjects and clients, he is able to capture meaningful and memorable images that truly tell a story.
writing/Journalism
Writing is the foundation of Andru's work, and he has been honing his skills in this area since the age of 13.
With a background in journalism that dates back to high school, Andru has a strong foundation in the field.
In addition to his studies, Andru has also gained valuable experience through his work with major publications, companies, and broadcast organizations.
He has written concert reviews for international bands on behalf of Sony, Universal, and Warner Music, and has been published in Atlas Obscura, Buzzfeed, and Urbanicity magazine.

broadcasting (Radio, TV, Film)
Andru has over 15 years of experience in the broadcast industry, with a diverse background that includes work at major and community radio stations in the United States and Canada.
He has held internships and full-time positions at companies like Clear Channel Communications and Bell Media, and has also worked at stations like WCCH 103.5, CJUM 101.5 FM, and Cable 14 Hamilton.
In addition to his on-air experience, Andru has also hosted, edited, and produced a number of independent radio shows, including the popular Wake Up Winnipeg program, The Aimless & Andy Show, and the nationally syndicated Alert! Radio. He also hosted a pilot television program called Highway to Hamilton.
He has also had his video work featured on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, as well as ABC World News Tonight with David Muir.
Disc jockey/event hosting
Andru has been active as a mobile and venue-based disc jockey since the age of 16. At that time, he started his own business, Far West Entertainment, which was successful for two years before he relocated to Western Massachusetts.
There, he partnered with Christopher Bovino (also known as DJ Nitro) to form Northstar Entertainment.
Later, Andru moved to Winnipeg Manitoba, where he performed as DJ Aimless for companies such as Millennium Sound and Crystal Sound (Manitoba's top DJ agency).
When he’s not behind the decks, he has also been found behind the microphone hosting live events, such as the Groove FM Winnipeg Jazz Festival and Winnipeg Folk Festival.
Currently based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Andru operates as a freelance DJ under the name "DJ Aimless”.
Drumming
Andru is a talented drummer with over 15 years of experience in the field. He began drumming at the young age of 10, and received classical percussion training early on in his musical journey.
As a member of an award-winning marching band, Andru also had the opportunity to hone his skills as a section leader.
Today, he continues to excel as a drummer, with a particular passion for pop, rock, and jazz music.
Whether he is performing on stage or in the studio, Andru brings energy and precision to every beat he plays. His love for drumming is evident in every performance, making him a valued and skilled musician.
As content writer and copywriter for LifeLearn Animal Health, I had the pleasure of working with Andru on daily basis, and I’ve met few individuals as talented and dedicated as Andru, whose professionalism matches the same level as his high creativity.
