Winnipeg’s First St Patrick’s Day Parade

On Saturday, March 17th, 2012, approximately 600 people turned up for Winnipeg's First ever St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The parade started at the Manitoba Legislative Building, went east on Broadway, north on Smith Street, west on St. Mary Avenue. and south onto Carlton Street before wrapping up at Shannon's Irish Pub.

An unseasonably warm weather pattern helped attract a larger crowd as temperatures reached 20 degrees Celsius.

In this video, we hear from parade-goers Mike Boyle, Kimmy Marland, and event organizer Margaret Gannon as they describe their experiences while marching in the parade.
