ABOUT Andru
Andru Valpy is a multi-talented artist with a diverse background and a rich history of involvement in the community.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, he has lived in several different locations throughout Canada and the United States, including Vancouver, British Columbia; Tucson, Arizona; Western Massachusetts; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
During his time in Winnipeg, Andru made a name for himself as a radio host, hosting The Aimless and Andy Show on UMFM 101.5 and later the popular talk show Wake Up Winnipeg.
Through these programs, Andru was able to raise funds and awareness for various charitable organizations, including Jazz on Wheels, The Red Cross, and Make-A-Wish Canada.
In addition to his work on the radio, Andru also contributed to the local concert and festival scene, volunteering at events like the West End Cultural Center, The Winnipeg Folk Festival, Folklorama, and the Jazz Winnipeg festival.
After spending nine years in Winnipeg, Andru moved to Toronto, Ontario, where he focused on his professional career, working with brands like Pepsi, Conair, Cuisinart, and Nestle (to name a few).
He also volunteered as a camera operator and producer for Cable 14 Hamilton and piloted a TV show called Highway to Hamilton.
In recent years, Andru has settled in Niagara Falls, Canada, where he lives with his wife Adrienne, their son, and their pets Wesley, Daisy, Gunner, and Misty.
Along with his wife, Andru shares his adventures and travels on their YouTube channel Aimlessly Wandering.
Throughout his life, Andru has demonstrated a commitment to creativity, community, and exploring new places and experiences.
